“Nana! How have you been?” Eun Jung asked.
Why was Eun Jung here? Nana questioned herself. Eun Jung was her dad’s younger sister’s daughter. She lived in Busan and earned a scholarship to an American college. She studied there for 4 years. Now she was 26, smart, pretty, tall, and very outgoing. Nana remembered visiting her when she was younger and they would always hang out together.
“Eun Jung-ah…” Nana was still in shock. “I thought you were in Busan?”
“Oh I moved here and was actually looking for you. But Aunt Mi Ok [Nana’s aunt that worked with Prosecutor Kim Young Joo] said that you just disappeared all of a sudden. So I am living with her temporarily.”
“Are you friends with Go Ki Joon and Shin Eun Ah…?” Nana was still confused.
“Oh yes! I met Eun Ah at a cooking class! She wanted to cook for Go Ki Joon after they got married and I was new in town. I thought why not meet some friends? We’ve been friends for about a month now and she gave me an invitation pretty late.” Eun Jung explained.
“What a coincidence… I worked with Shin Eun Ah!” What a small world.
“I knew it! Shin Eun Ah would talk about you sometimes but I didn’t know if it was Kim Nana, my beautiful cousin, or just another Kim Nana.”
Nana didn’t know if she should feel happy, creeped out, or surprised (or just all three). How can there be such coincidence? “How do you like Seoul so far?”
“It’s so pretty and very stressful! So where do you live now? Still in that small apartment?”
“Well actually I—” Before Nana could finish her sentence, her old boss, head of the bodyguards, walked over.
“Bodyguard Kim Nana.” He said.
“Director [that’s what Nana called her boss in the drama]!”
“How have you been?”
Yoon Sung, oblivion to who Nana was talking to, walked over to Nana and put his arm around her casually. Then he realized… there was Nana’s boss, right in front of him.
“Lee Yoon Sung baska.” Nana’s boss greeted him nonchalantly.
“Annyeonghaseyo [hello].” Yoon Sung said carefully. He knew that Nana’s boss knew many things about him. He probably even knew about his fake identity and obviously witnessed the assassination incident.
“Lee baksa!” Yoon Sung’s boss walked over and interrupted the tension. “Where have you been? Why’d you resign?”
“Oh, director, how have you been?” He asked his former boss.
“Ever since your resignation, everyone in the I.T. department has been all so sad! If you want to come back, we will accept you fully—”
“I’m sorry but I will not be coming back.” Yoon Sung apologized. “I decided that the job was not for me.”
“Oh, tell me what we need to change for you, we will definitely—”
“I will not be coming back, but thank you for your kindness.” Yoon Sung reassured him and walked away with Nana.
“You did well.” Nana whispered into his ear.

“Did you talk to Kim Nana?” Prosecutor Jang [Kim Young Joo’s boss in City Hunter] asked Eun Jung.
“Yes I did.”
In honor of Prosecutor Kim Young Joo, Prosecutor Jang, as his former boss, needed to finish what he started. Ever since Kim Young Joo’s death, he had hated the City Hunter. Because of the City Hunter, his colleague died. Because of the City Hunter, the prosecution department of Seoul has been flipped upside down. He had the idea that the City Hunter killed Kim Young Joo drilled into his head. He needed to prosecute that bastard. He knew everyone who had worked with Kim Young Joo would back him in this decision and belief. And he would do anything to go against the City Hunter. Even if it meant transferring Kim Nana’s cousin to the Seoul department.
Kang Eun Jung was a high-paid prosecutor in Busan. While looking for a new prosecutor, Prosecutor Jang checked some of the prosecutors in the other provinces/cities and found out Eun Jung’s relationship to Nana from her aunt, Kim Mi Ok. Kim Mi Ok suggested to transfer Eun Jung to Seoul to help investigate the City Hunter, and set her up to befriend Shin Eun Ah, getting her a free ride into the wedding, and eventually meeting Kim Nana like a coincidence.
As Jang Pil Jae background checked John Lee, which was believed to be the City Hunter, he was shocked to find such results. “John Lee, an American of Korean ethnicity. He lived in a privately owned Asian-American orphanage in New York . His parents are unknown because he was abandoned by his parents in a basket in front of the orphanage. But due to his hard work in school, it eventually paid off. He got into MIT with the support of an anonymous wealthy upper class family who donated a scholarship to him.”
This cannot be true… the City Hunter had hacked into the database and changed information. According to what Prosecutor Kim Young Joo had left over, John Lee was a deceased poor American of Korean ethnicity born to a Korean American couple in Houston , Texas .”
“Prosecutor Jang…” Jang Pil Jae kept re-searching it, hoping it was just a false result. “I think Lee Yoon Sung has hacked into our system… there is no address or work information about him either.”
“Aish!” the Prosecutor exclaimed. “I knew something like this would happen! That’s why we needed to take action earlier!”
“Prosecutor Jang, it is not our fault.” Kim Mi Ok said. “The wedding was the only place we knew Lee Yoon Sung or Nana would be at.”
“We can’t just sit here and wait for our cue anymore.” Jang Pil Jae suggested. “We need to take action now.”
“We can’t just prosecute him. We have no evidence at all to his doings and his identity. He changed his identity, so he is now longer a fraud. We cannot do anything right now but wait for an opportunity.” Eun Jung added.
“There will be no more opportunities!” the Prosecutor yelled. “We have to do something.”
“We cannot do anything obvious or dramatic. Right now, we have to collect evidence. We need to collect evidence on his identity as the City Hunter.” Eun Jung reasoned. “Pil Jae, you checked that Lee Yoon Sung was leaving in 5 days with a flight back to New Jersey in the US right?”
“Yes, he booked two tickets. One for Kim Nana and the other for himself under the name John Lee.”
“Organize someone from the undercover police department to get a ticket on the plane, follow them to their home discreetly, and find out his address.” Eun Jung continued to deploy a plan. “Before they leave, I’m going to rent the apartment that Nana is putting out on rent, so that I’ll continue to have contact with her after she leaves the country.” That wasn’t too hard for Eun Jung, considering she needed a place to live anyway.

“Isn’t it weird that Eun Jung is friends with Shin Eun Ah?” Nana asked as she took out a small cup of ice cream from the freezer.
Yoon Sung didn’t answer Nana. He was deep in thought on the couch. Something was up. Someone was up to something. He wasn’t sure who and wasn’t sure how they would go about it. Before he came back to Seoul , he spent days and nights trying to figure out a hack into ALL the background checking databases. He changed John Lee’s identity and removed any type of address and work information, preventing anyone from accusing him of a fraud or using a fake identity. He did it so meticulously by using a fake IP address, leaving no traces of a hack. He even decided to book flights arriving at a New Jersey airport instead of New York (which was where he actually lived), taking the time to actually drive up and from New Jersey for their flights. Because he knew, if the prosecution department wanted to investigate him, the first thing they will use against him was his fake identity. Although Kang Eun Jung seemed harmless and Nana meeting her suddenly seemed coincidental, he still couldn’t buy it.
“Yah, Yoon Sung, I asked you a question.” Nana sat down on the couch next to him with a small cup of ice cream in her hand and a spoon in the other.
“What does your cousin do for a living?” Yoon Sung decided to know a little about Kang Eun Jung. He was wary about Kang Eun Jung, was it all a coincidence or was something behind Nana’s sudden meeting with her?
“I’m not sure. I haven’t seen her in about six years. She’s a year younger than me and the last time I checked, she studied law and she was working to become a law professor.”
Law? Yoon Sung thought. Studying law can lead to many possible career choices. And prosecution can be one of them.
“Why are you asking me this?” Nana said as she ate a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
“Oh nothing, you know, just trying to consider my options. Seems like she’s smarter than you and will not always use judo to threaten me. Maybe I should dump you and go for her…” Yoon Sung joked recklessly.
“YAH! That’s not funny.” Nana frowned and put down her ice cream. “I’m losing my appetite.”
“You know I’m kidding, Kim Nana.” Yoon Sung laughed, snatched her ice cream from the coffee table, and ate a spoonful as well.
“Hey, that’s mine.” Nana tried to take it back from him.
“You said you lost your appetite.” Yoon Sung argued.
As Nana tried to grab it from him, Yoon Sung dipped his finger into the ice cream cup and threatened to wipe it on her face if she continued to grab it from him.
Nana got a hold of his arms and quickly twisted them judo style, snatching the ice cream out of his hands while at it. “This is what happens when you try to mess with Kim Nana.”
“AH… Are you even a woman?” Yoon Sung shook his arms in pain as Nana let go of them.
Nana finished the ice cream and threw it in the trashcan. “I’m gonna brush my teeth and go to bed, do as you wish.” She got up and headed to the bathroom.
As much as Yoon Sung hated sleeping in small and uncomfortable beds, having Nana by his side could make hell become heaven. Looking at Nana’s carefree smile and attitude and they way she laughed within this house, he knew he needed to set all worries aside and enjoy the last 5 days they will spend together in this memory-packed house. He wanted Nana to feel happy for the next 5 days, and this was a challenge Yoon Sung was ready to take.

I knew it! That Eun Jung is up to no good. Tsk tsk. It's just too much of a coincidence for her to be friends with Eun Ah and all. Now the question is, will she go after Yoon Seung as well? I hope not. If she did, Nana can throw her off her shoulder. LOL. No one messes with my OTP! :)
