Kim Nana & Lee Yoon Sung - Ending Continuation Fanfic - Chapter 1

As Nana stepped her foot on the bridge pulling her brown suitcase, there was only one thing she could think of… that text message.
“Pack up enough stuff for two months and meet me at the airport by the end of the bridge.” When Nana first read this text message, her heart skipped a beat, her eyes widened, and a tear rolled down her face. It’s been two months since he last texted her. And it’s been a month since she had last seen him. She had so many questions to ask about this simple request. Why? What is Yoon Sung planning? What will he say to her? Where has he been? She typed these questions quickly into her iPhone but right before her thumb could hit ‘send’, it retrogressed and her face fell. She didn’t send it. She couldn’t send it. She didn’t want to send it. Why? Because she didn’t want to know his answer. She wanted their reunification to be exciting… she wanted to ask these things in person. She wanted him to say he needed her by his side in person. She didn’t want to ruin their reunification. She wanted it to be perfect.

As Nana came out of her flashback, she looked around. “Maybe this is foolish… what if he wanted to break everything off with me?” She thought. “No… he told me to pack things. So no, he must have something extraordinary planned…. Like going overseas with him… Keep calm Kim Nana…” She straightened her thoughts and walked a bit faster, the faster she gets there the sooner she’ll know what Yoon Sung had planned. While aimlessly looking around,  by her right, a tall figure intruded her thoughts… “Was that Lee Yoon Sung Ssi?” She thought to herself. Nana sped up her walking even more while still dumbfounded by that vague glance of a tall figure. She was excited, and her heart beat faster the closer she is to the end of this bridge. She longed to see his face; she wanted to just be with him now that everything was over. She wanted to be happy again, she wanted to experience those feelings of being with Yoon Sung again. Following her sudden impulse, she walked over to the right, hoping to see Yoon Sung right in front of her. Although it was just a glance, she knew it was him; it had to be Yoon Sung. Unfortunately her expectation didn’t become reality. He wasn’t standing there. “Was I hallucinating…?” Nana started to doubt herself. Did she long him so much that she was starting to hallucinate? “No… it was him, I know it was him. After all he was the City Hunter, he had to be fast with his movements, right?” She looked around her, hoping to see him appear somewhere… anywhere would be fine… even the ceiling. As long as she could see him, she knew everything would be alright.

Nana was a confident girl, she believed in herself, she saw what she saw, and it was Yoon Sung and she knew that if she turned around right at this instant, he would definitely be behind her. And Nana was right, she had always been right. Yoon Sung would come back alive… come back to her.

Yoon Sung smiled and looked deeply into her eyes. Nana couldn’t contain her grin anymore. Yoon Sung was here, right in front of her… alive, and smiling. And she was also alive, grinning in pure happiness only about three feet away. She wanted to feel his touch, not because she enjoyed skinship, but because she wanted to know it wasn’t all just a dream. The man that saved her at least three times, the man that she accidentally shot, and the man that protected her from danger while risking his own life, the man she would wait a lifetime for was standing in front of her in a tangible distance. After a minute of just appreciating each other’s presence, Yoon Sung was the first to break this silence, “Yah Kim Nana… I missed you.”

“Yah Lee Yoon Sung Ssi, I missed you too.” Although she partly mocked him, those words were the truth. She missed him more than she missed her parents. For once in her life, there was someone she wanted to be with more than her deceased parents. She missed Yoon Sung like crazy.

Yoon Sung dashed forward and pulled Nana into a tight embrace. “You waited for me.” He said as he ran his fingers through her long hair.
“Lee Yoon Sung Ssi, you know that I like you, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you.” She couldn’t stop grinning, she knew if she stopped smiling, tears of joy would start rolling down her face, and she didn’t want to cry… she was tough, right?

“You’re still the same Gom [Bear] Nana… How can you say you like me so simply?”

“It’s good to like someone, isn’t it?” Nana finally dropped her grin. She couldn’t hold back anymore, she had to cry, she was so overwhelmed and ecstatic at the same time her emotions were overflowing.

“Maybe not when I was City Hunter, but now… yes.” He finally pulled away from their embrace and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. As his facial expression got serious again, he looked deeply into her eyes. “Kim Nana, be by my side. I want you to be with me.” For the first time in 28 years, he said these words from the bottom of his heart. He couldn’t let go of Nana anymore. And he knew he could never ever send her to another man. Yoon Sung slowly trailed his thumb on her cheek to wipe away her tear drop and drifted his hands towards the side of her face and eventually touching her soft long dark brown hair. He leaned in and kissed her deeply while his hand was on the back of her head, running his fingers down her hair and eventually resting on her back. Nana placed her hands on his shoulders and slowly up his neck. She rested her arms around his neck and kissed him back with a mixture of love, lust, and passion. The first time in a long time, there was someone she couldn’t live without, someone that could make her happier than ever. Lee Yoon Sung ignited the matches within her heart that were once blown out because of her parent’s death.

After a passionate kiss, Yoon Sung pulled away and still looking into Nana’s eyes. Her eyes were bright with joy and were pure with happiness. He just hoped that she was ready for what was in store for the two of them.

“Nana, do you want to go to America with me?” Yoon Sung was very nervous. Although he was confident Nana would agree, he didn’t know if this sudden request would sit well with her. “It’s just for two months. If you decided after two months that you don’t like it, we’ll definitely come back.”

“Lee Yoon Sung…” Nana smiled. “Of course.”

Yoon Sung grinned like a child. He didn’t know what to expect and he was quite enjoying the fact that now he could finally live a normal life with Nana, Shik Joong Ahjussi, and his mother.

Nana continued to smile. She was beyond just happy at the fact that not only did she reunite with Yoon Sung, but the fact that he wanted to be with her just made her heart flutter.

“Oh, there’s one thing I need to give you before we get going with Ahjussi and my mom who are already waiting by our terminal.”
“What is it?”

“Give me your hand.” Yoon Sung ordered.

“Why?” Nana asked in her usual curious tone.

Yoon Sung grabbed Nana’s left hand and slipped on the gold ring onto Nana’s ring finger.

“Yoon Sung Ssi, what… does this mean…?”

“Once you’re ready in the future, this will become a diamond ring.” Yoon Sung smirked his half-smile.

“Yoon Sung Ssi…” Nana was speechless. How could so many wonderful things happen within this hour?

“Aish!” Yoon Sung exclaimed as he looked at his watch. “Yah Gom Nana, we’re gonna be late, come on, we gotta get on the plane with Ahjussi and Umma!” He grabbed Nana’s other hand, since her right hand was occupied with pulling her suitcase, and intertwined his fingers with hers as they ran toward their bright… ever-changing future.
