Kim Nana & Lee Yoon Sung - Ending Continuation Fanfic - Chapter 7

With Nana’s head resting in the crook of Yoon Sung’s neck, skin to skin, they swore they could stay in bed forever. They could stay in each other’s warmth and this intimacy forever if they could.

Everything had worked out well. The house got rented in just 5 days and they were going to leave and return to New York today. Yoon Sung tried hard to ignore his assumptions on Nana’s cousin, Eun Jung, he tried to not let his suspicion about her bother him. After all, she was Nana’s cousin. It would be rude to suspect Nana’s family members. He tried to convince himself that he was overanalyzing. In fact, Yoon Sung tried to stop Nana from renting it out to Eun Jung. However, he didn’t want to say his reason. One, he didn’t want Nana to start getting worried and into the dangerous aspects of his life. Second, Eun Jung and Nana seemed to be close when they were younger and again, it would be rude to straight up suspect her family members knowing none of her immediate family wasn’t alive anymore. So he compromised, trying to convince himself Eun Jung was nothing more but Nana’s cousin and that he was over thinking.

They spent six bittersweet days together in this apartment floor and Nana even went to her father’s grave with Yoon Sung. All affairs seemed to be settled in Seoul, and so their new life in America would officially start.

It was early in the morning and they were both still sleeping since they had an evening flight. However, Yoon Sung’s cell phone had broken the long peaceful silence of the room by a simple ring.

He extended his arm to search for his vibrating iPhone on the nightstand and answered the phone still half asleep. “Yeobosaeyo [Hello *used when answering the phone*]?”

“Yah, Yoon Sung-ah…”

“Ahjussi?” Yoon Sung recognized the voice.

“Listen carefully to what I say and do not panic, okay?”

“What’s wrong?” Yoon Sung was now more awake as he sat up, hearing the seriousness in Ahjussi’s voice.

“I was helping you settle your father’s assets since his death and I came across the mansion he still owned in Massachusetts that he bought while you were attending MIT. Captain [what Ahjussi called Yoon Sung’s father] had apparently sold his mansion already before his death, but the paperwork never got done.” Ahjussi explained. “Since your mom and I were both stuck at home and an unknown city without you or Nana, things got boring. So we decided to drive up and see what that was all about. And while we met with the buyer who was also a Korean American, we quickly settled the paperwork for you so when you come back; you didn’t have to worry about it and can start a complete new life.”

Yoon Sung listened and appreciated Ahjussi and Umma trying to help him settle Father’s assets.

“All that went well but while we were up there, we drove by MIT because your mother was curious on what it looked like. While driving around the campus, I saw some Thai men causing raucousness and conflict with some of the administrative people at the school.” Ahjussi slowed down a bit. “And I looked closely from my car at one of them… I couldn't remember his exact name but he was one of the men that Captain had fought against in the Golden Triangle.”

Anything with the combination of men and Thailand in it was not good news. Why? Because it would be related to Yoon Sung’s Father’s drug dealing business. And within the drug dealing community, there were many dark spots.

“I rolled down the windows a bit and overheard them saying things in Thai about the Captain and his location.” Ahjussi continued to explain. “They must be after your father for a pretty serious reason or else they wouldn’t have tried to find you all the way in America. They must’ve asked some people back in the Triangle about where Captain went, and they probably told them. Or else they wouldn’t have known you had any associations with MIT. If they find out about Captain’s death, they would most definitely try to search for you for trouble.”

“What are you trying to suggest?” Yoon Sung asked.

“If they could search all the way to Massachusetts for Captain, I’m sure they have the ability and sources to find out that you live in New York… Maybe you and Nana should stay in Seoul a little longer.”

“But if they could even search to MIT, they could also find out my location in Seoul…” Yoon Sung realized there was no solution to this unless they fled both Korea and the US.

“Yoon Sung-ah, I think it’s better for you and Nana to stay in Seoul. You are John Lee and John Lee is an American citizen. Also, those Thais don’t seem to know about your ethnicity or your American name. They only know Captain’s Thai name. I believe it would take longer for them to find you in Seoul.”

Yoon Sung thought about this situation as calmly as he could. He didn’t want to put Nana in danger. He wanted Nana to be safe. And by returning to America, the danger might increase. Therefore, he easily came to a conclusion. “Okay. I will stay in Seoul. But what about you and Umma?”

“Your mom had just opened her Korean restaurant and it would be very inconvenient to leave right now. And I can’t just leave her here, it would be dangerous…”

As much as Yoon Sung loved his mother and Ahjussi, he didn’t want his mom to give up her restaurant for a situation that wasn’t even certain yet. So he made up his mind quick through the phone. “Try to settle things and get the restaurant operations running smoothly as quick as possible. After the restaurant becomes steadier, return to Seoul as soon as possible.”

“Yes, we will arrange a plan by then. But your mom has no relations to you legally, so it would be a lot harder to trace her relationship with you, much less Captain. I think it would actually be safer for her to stay in the country than be with you because that would put her in more danger. She can go to another state or city.”

“I don’t know, Ahjussi. I just want everyone I love to be safe.” Yoon Sung said before hanging up. “I’ll talk to you later, Ahjussi.”

Hearing Yoon Sung on the phone for so long, Nana sat up with the blanket covering her unclothed body. “What’s wrong?”

“We can’t return to America.”

“Why?”

“Father and his unsettled business back in Thailand.”

“Like what?” Nana asked.

“It’s hard to explain because I’m not even sure of what the situation is yet. It’s safer for us to stay in Seoul for now.”

“So we’re not going back today?”

“Not today. I want you to be safe. And it’s safer if we stay here in Seoul.” Yoon Sung said emotionlessly and factually. “Don’t worry about it.”

“I’m always worried, Yoon Sung. You’re not an ordinary person, and you went through some extraordinary things. How can I not be worried about you?” Nana raised her voice.

“Just don’t. Worrying will give you wrinkles. Didn’t I tell you before? You have to take care of your face like a woman.”

“Yah, Lee Yoon Sung—” They were just about to go off in little altercations about pointless things like they always did again. However this time a loud bang from the front door interrupted Nana. “Did someone knock on the door?”

“Who would come this early?” Yoon Sung asked her.

“It’s probably one of the kids that live next door. There’s a toddler that would always play around.” Nana sighed. “I’ll just go and take him back to his parents next door.” She was about to get up but Yoon Sung stopped her.

“I’ll do it. Stay here.” Yoon Sung offered to help. He put on some comfortable pants and a T-shirt then dashed out to the front door. He opened the door, expecting a small toddler; however what he got was the opposite.

“Annyeong [Hello]!” A woman about 5’7” wearing skinny jeans and a floral top with straight long black hair greeted him.

“You’re…”

“Yes, I’m Eun Jung.” She practically invited herself into the apartment with a suitcase trailing behind her.

“What are you—”

Before Yoon Sung could finish his question, Eun Jung already answered enthusiastically. “I’m here to collect the keys to this house and start living here.” She walked around the small living room and the connected kitchen. Then she opened the bedroom door, practically giving herself a tour without even asking due to her energetic personality.

After hearing Eun Jung’s voice coming from the living room, Nana shot up from the bed and tried to find something to wear quickly. She didn’t want to be caught naked in bed. Although they were both responsible and mature adults so having a sex life was nothing wrong at this age. But to them, their intimacy was only for their eyes to see and their own brain to know. She didn’t want to accidentally expose a glimpse of that to another person again… not right after what happened with Ahjussi. Grabbing her underwear and clothing on the floor randomly, she tried to button one of Yoon Sung’s shirts as fast as she could. But it was too late. Eun Jung opened the door to find Nana with her underwear on and her shirt buttoned half way.

“Oooh… Nana-ah!” Eun Jung laughed. “I didn’t know you had a wild side!”

“Eun Jung! I’m only changing! Don’t think like that!” Again, Nana was caught with a side of her that was not so innocent.

“That doesn’t explain the clothes on the floor…” Eun Jung chuckled; referring to the other clothes that were on the floor of the small room. “You ruined what I would think about this room when I live here… I’m going to have dirty thoughts sleeping in this room from now on…” She joked with Nana.

Yoon Sung put his head to his forehead frustratingly. They were caught off-guard… again.

“I’m not going to bother you guys from what you were doing. I already filled out the paperwork and contracts through your agent. Now just give me the keys. I’ll wait outside the living room until you guys are done.” Eun Jung said.

Wait in the living room? This girl is sure shameless even at twenty-six. Nana thought. Although she was the one embarrassed, Eun Jung was so casual and unaffected by this. How could a normal person offer to just wait in the living room for two others to finish doing that? “Eun Jung, we weren’t doing anything in the first place. We just woke up. But we have some things we need to tell you… So can you wait in the living room for a minute? I have to talk to Yoon Sung for a sec.”

“Yeah. Sure, no problem.” Eun Jung sat down on the couch after exiting Nana’s bedroom.
Nana dragged Yoon Sung into her bedroom and shut the door. “We either have to tell her she needs to find a new place and apologize or we have to move somewhere else for now.”

“Maybe we should take her out to a nice restaurant and apologize to her…”

“No! That would be rude of us…” Nana said. “I think we should just move out of the house to somewhere else. After all, she already signed the contracts and everything.”

“Contracts can be made invalid and money can be transferred back into her bank account. There’s no need to worry about that stuff.” Yoon Sung disagreed. “Maybe we should ask if she wants to live here that bad…”

“But that’s very low and rude… we can’t just kick her out because now we decided not to leave anymore…”

“We’ll just ask. If she really wants to live here, we’ll go to a hotel.”

“I don’t know…” Nana ran her fingers through her hair frustratingly.

“Just listen to me.” Yoon Sung looked into her eyes.

“I don’t even know what to do right now… Knowing Eun Jung’s personality, she would compromise at any request but deep down she might feel a bit upset…”

“Let’s not keep her waiting…” Yoon Sung suggested. “Put some pants on and we’ll talk to her about this.”

Nana chuckled at Yoon Sung and put on a pair of shorts before heading out to Eun Jung, who was sitting on the small couch.

“So Eun Jung…” Nana started off as she sat next to Yoon Sung, across from Eun Jung.

“Yes?”

“I was just wondering if… you know… you really wanted to live here or did you just rent it out of convenience knowing I was your cousin…”

“Why are you asking me this?”

“Well, a situation kind of came up and we were wondering if you really needed to live here…”

“What kind of situation?” What kind of situation would come up? Eun Jung thought. They are suppose to leave today. Is Lee Yoon Sung suspicious of me? Is Nana suspicious of me? No, they have no reason to be, I have not hinted them one bit of my real purpose in renting the place…

“Well it’s a long story, Yoon Sung’s family—”

“It’s complicated and private.” Yoon Sung knew Nana wasn’t going to tell Eun Jung everything but still, he needed to be careful with Eun Jung. Just because he was trying to be less suspicious of her didn’t mean he couldn’t sense something strange about her. And besides, it was better for Eun Jung to be oblivious of his background, knowing his background would just cause her trouble.

Eun Jung made brief eye contact with Yoon Sung and she knew Yoon Sung would be hard to figure out. She looked back at Nana and answered her request. “I mean if you guys really didn’t want me here, you can just say it...”

“Oh trust me Eun Jung-ah... I wouldn’t mind you at all to rent this apartment; it’s just that we decided to stay in Seoul for a much longer period of time. It was kind of a last minute change of plan.” Nana definitely got that right. She only figured this out with Yoon Sung about ten minutes ago.

Although from the surface Eun Jung had a straight and serious face on, deep down, she was smirking and quickly deployed an idea. She knew Yoon Sung and Nana weren’t easy to squeeze information out of. She also knew asking about why they weren’t going back to the US anymore and also asking things about Yoon Sung’s family background wouldn’t get her answers. Therefore, she had to take action and get information… on her own. “I have an idea.” She said brightly to the couple.

“What is it?”

“If you guys don’t mind… I can pay the rent of a room and rent the second bedroom only and we can all live together!”

Yoon Sung looked over at Nana with wide eyes and then to Eun Jung and then back to Nana. This girl is surely audacious.

A/N: I'm trying hard to make the story 2/3 Nana and Yoon Sung then the other 1/3 being the two plots that are slowly coming in. Or at least half and half. I hope I am still staying loyal to Yoon Sung and Nana's original character personalities. It's hard to nail YS and NN's characters in a relationship with each other because in the drama, their relationship was not exactly official and was only a more than friend but not exactly dating thing, but it's a lot of fun to write them as an actual couple because I would have loved to see that in the original drama! xD Anyway, please comment~ Thanks for the comments last time!

  2. Oooh I'm loving the bed scene! I know it wasn't as graphic as the other scenes in most fan fics that I've read, yet I loved it just as much. :)

That Eun Jun is really up to no good! Yoon Seung, Nana, and Eun Jung all under the same roof? I smell nothing but trouble. Uh-oh. That Eun Jung better not try anything on Yoon Seung, or she'll be dead!

  3. I like your story. It's so hard to find City Hunter Fanfics at all (then again, maybe it's just too soon). Good job, overall.
